What's the biggest crypto exchange in Turkey?

No exchange publishes a trading-volume number for Turkey that anyone outside the company can verify in real time, so this guide doesn't rank by volume. Instead it compares the three exchanges that serve Turkish users, Binance, Bybit, and OKX, by two things we can actually check: registered users worldwide and coins listed. By that measure, Binance is the largest, with 250 million registered users as of January 2025†, ahead of OKX's 70 million†.

Keep in mind these are global signup counts, not Turkish usage and not market share.

What should "en büyük kripto borsası" mean, and why skip trading volume?

Volume figures change by the hour. Most sites quoting them pull from sources that aren't independently audited. Our Knowledge Graph carries no trading-volume fact for Turkey or globally that we'd stand behind, so we're not printing one dressed up as a ranking. What we can verify is scale you can look up yourself: how many people have signed up, how many coins are listed, how long the company has been running.

That's a proxy for size, not a measurement of who's trading more this week. Traders who work with incomplete charts every day know the difference between reading what's there and filling a gap with a guess . The same habit applies here: state the number you have, and say plainly when you don't have one.

How do registered users compare?

Exchange Registered users (global, verified) Founded
Binance 250 million, as of January 2025† 2017†
OKX 70 million† 2017†
Bybit No verified registered-user count in our data; check Bybit's own about page 2018†

Binance's 250 million is roughly 180 million more than OKX's 70 million††. That gap makes Binance the largest of the three by signups. It doesn't tell you how many of those accounts are active, and it says nothing about who trades the most in Turkey specifically.

How many coins does each one list?

Exchange Coins listed (approx.)
Binance ~350†
OKX ~300†
Bybit No verified coins-listed figure in our data; check Bybit's own about page

Binance lists roughly 50 more coins than OKX, 350 against 300††. More listings mean more choice, not more safety and not better prices. A coin being listed somewhere says nothing about whether it's a good idea to buy it.

Which one is actually available to Turkish users?

Turkey regulates crypto trading as a financial activity. Law No. 7518 (2024) brought crypto asset service providers under the Capital Markets Board (SPK/CMB); platforms serving Turkish users also fall under MASAK AML supervision. Full details are in our guide to crypto exchange rules in Turkey.

None of that changes the user or coin numbers above. It just means a Turkish resident should check current status before funding an account, not assume "biggest" equals "cleared."

Binance is on our list of exchanges available to Turkish users (checked against public sources, last checked 2026-09-12); confirm the current status with SPK before depositing. See our Binance review for fees and features.

Common mistakes when judging "biggest"

  • Taking social media buzz as proof of size. A loud timeline isn't a user count. Guessing market share from chatter is the same error traders make when they try to call tomorrow's price off one headline instead of reading what's in front of them .
  • Treating an old "top exchanges by volume" list as current. Those rankings shift constantly and most aren't sourced from anything checkable.
  • Assuming "biggest" means "best for you." A huge user base doesn't fix a bad fee structure for your trade size. Check the fee calculator against your own numbers.
  • Assuming legal status in one country carries over to another. Turkey's SPK/MASAK framework applies locally and doesn't say anything about other jurisdictions.

FAQ

Is Binance the biggest crypto exchange in the world?

By registered users, Binance's 250 million† is the largest figure we have verified among the three exchanges covered here. We have no verified global trading-volume number to compare it against, so we won't call it the biggest by volume.

Does OKX or Bybit operate legally in Turkey?

Our data doesn't include a confirmed entity-specific registration status for either exchange on Turkey's regulator lists. Check the current SPK register directly before you rely on any exchange's Turkey status.

Which has more coins listed, Binance or OKX?

Binance lists about 350 coins† against OKX's approximately 300†. Bybit's figure isn't verified in our data.

Why doesn't this article rank exchanges by trading volume?

No number in our Knowledge Graph for Turkish or global trading volume meets our sourcing bar. Printing one anyway would mean guessing, and we'd rather tell you what's missing than invent it.
