Best crypto exchange in Brazil: Binance vs Bybit (2026)
Only two exchanges are available to crypto users in Brazil. Compare Binance and Bybit fees, KYC, and 2026 Banco Central rules before you deposit.

Binance and Bybit are the only two exchanges CompareCEX currently lists for users in Brazil, checked against public sources on 2026-09-12. If you just want a trading account with low fees and a wide coin list, Binance is the simpler pick. If you want futures tools and monthly audited proof-of-reserves reports, Bybit fits better. Both charge a standard 0.1% spot fee and both require ID verification before you can deposit††.
This guide answers "melhor corretora de cripto" for a Brazilian reader: which of the two exchanges to use, what it costs, and what Brazil's new central bank rules actually require from them.
Which exchanges we list for Brazil, and why only two
CompareCEX checks each exchange's availability against public sources before adding it to a country page. For Brazil, our source list (investidor10.com.br and bybit.com, last checked 2026-09-12) shows Binance and Bybit as the exchanges we can confirm for Brazilian users right now. We don't name or link other exchanges on this page, even for comparison. That's an editorial choice, not a ranking of every exchange that might technically serve Brazil.
Before you open an account, confirm the current status yourself with the Banco Central do Brasil, not just on this article.
Binance vs Bybit for Brazilian users: fees, KYC and deposits
Both platforms are centralized exchanges (CEX) that need a verified ID before you can deposit or withdraw. Here's what the numbers say.
| Binance | Bybit | |
|---|---|---|
| Founded | 2017† | 2018† |
| HQ | Abu Dhabi, UAE (ADGM)† | Singapore† |
| Spot maker fee | 0.1% (VIP0)† | 0.1% (VIP0)† |
| Spot taker fee | 0.1% (VIP0)† | 0.1% (VIP0)† |
| KYC | Required† | Required† |
| Deposit via card | Fee not published in the source checked; confirm in app | 1.1% to 3.05%, varies by card and region† |
| Deposit via P2P | 700+ payment methods, mostly free or low fee† | 60 payment methods, 0% Bybit fee, cost is set between buyer and seller† |
| One reason to pick it | About 350 coins listed† | Monthly proof-of-reserves, audited by Hacken† |
| One limitation | Exact card deposit fee isn't published; check it in the app first | Had a roughly $1.5 billion hack in February 2025, covered by Bybit† |
Two quick fee examples show what these percentages mean in cash terms. A $500 spot trade at Binance's 0.1% taker fee costs $0.50†. Depositing $1,000 to Bybit through a non-US bank SWIFT transfer costs 0.25% with a $25 minimum, so the fee lands at $25, not $2.50, because the minimum applies†.
Neither company publishes a confirmed fee specifically for PIX or BRL bank transfers in the sources we checked. Check the deposit page inside the app before you pay anything.

What do Brazil's 2026 Banco Central rules mean for you?
Law 14.478 of 21 December 2022 set the guidelines for virtual asset service providers (PSAVs) in Brazil. According to the Banco Central do Brasil's November 2025 presentation of the new rules (read 2026-10-31), the BCB regulated PSAV services and authorisation in November 2025 (Resolutions BCB 519, 520 and 521), with the rules in force from 2 February 2026.
The same BCB source says a company offering crypto services in Brazil needs BCB authorisation and ongoing supervision. Firms that were already operating may keep running during a transition period while they prove compliance and submit their application. The resolutions also require PSAVs to disclose their risks, security policies and fees clearly, not buried in fine print. We won't state a transition deadline here because we couldn't verify one against the BCB's own source.
Read the BCB's own material before you decide anything: bcb.gov.br and the November 2025 presentation at bcb.gov.br/conteudo/home-ptbr/TextosApresentacoes.
Binance is on our list of exchanges available to Brazilian users, checked against public sources on 2026-09-12. Confirm its current authorisation status on the Banco Central's website before you deposit. Bybit is on the same list, with the same checked date. The same advice applies: verify it yourself before you send money.
How do you check an exchange before you deposit?
Run this short process every time, not just once:
- Open the exchange's own fee page and compare it to what's written here. Fee schedules change.
- Check the KYC requirements for your country inside the app, not from a blog post.
- Look up the exchange's current regulatory status on the Banco Central's website.
- Check the deposit method you plan to use (card, bank transfer, P2P) and read the exact fee shown on the confirmation screen before you pay.
- Start with a small test deposit and withdrawal before you move a larger amount.
- Use the fee calculator to compare the real cost of a trade size you actually plan to use.
If you're unsure which exchange matches how you plan to use it, the exchange finder tool walks through a short set of questions.
Which one fits you: beginner or futures trader?
If you're new to crypto and mainly want to buy and hold, Binance's wider coin list and lower-friction P2P deposit options† make the learning curve shorter. Read the full Binance review.
If you already understand spot trading and want futures or copy trading, Bybit offers those tools along with margin and staking†. See the Bybit review for details.
One warning applies to both, and it matters more on futures than on spot. Leverage trading magnifies both gains and losses. A thin line separates disciplined trading from gambling behavior. A disciplined trader sets a stop-loss sized to the position before opening it. A gambler ignores the stop or adds to a losing position hoping it turns around . Before opening any leveraged position, it helps to answer three questions first: why this setup, what's the realistic probability it works, and whether a better setup is likely to show up anyway if you wait .
This isn't a recommendation to trade futures. It's a description of how the risk differs from simple spot trading.
Common mistakes
- Skipping KYC steps and then getting stuck when a withdrawal is blocked. Required ID checks apply on both platforms††.
- Assuming a card deposit fee before checking the confirmation screen. Bybit's own figures range from 1.1% to 3.05% depending on the card†, and Binance doesn't publish an exact figure in the source we checked.
- Treating a central bank announcement as a guarantee. The 2026 BCB rules require disclosure and authorisation. They don't certify that any specific firm is risk-free.
- Forgetting that this article only covers Binance and Bybit. Other exchanges may advertise to Brazilian users without being on our verified list.
FAQ
Is Binance legal to use in Brazil?
Binance is on our list of exchanges available to Brazilian users, checked against public sources on 2026-09-12. Confirm the current status on the Banco Central's website, since the 2026 rules require BCB authorisation for virtual asset service providers.
Is Bybit safe for Brazilian users?
Bybit publishes monthly proof-of-reserves audited by Hacken, with reports showing reserve ratios above 100% for the major assets checked from February to September 2026†. Bybit disclosed a 2025 security incident involving roughly $1.5 billion in assets, attributed to the Lazarus Group, and says it restored reserves within 72 hours with no customer losses†. "Safe" still depends on your own account security habits, not just the exchange's.
Can I buy Bitcoin in Brazil with PIX?
We couldn't verify an exact PIX fee for either exchange in the sources checked. Check the deposit page in the app before you pay. Treat any number you see elsewhere online as unconfirmed until it's on the exchange's own page.
What does KYC mean for a Brazilian user?
Both exchanges require identity verification before you can deposit or withdraw††. You'll typically need a government ID and a selfie check inside the app.
